Treeline - 'Name Our Mascot' Competition
Terms and Conditions
1. We are BSC Stationery Sales Proprietary Limited trading as Treeline, with Registration Number 2002/001731/07. We are a private company registered and incorporated in the Republic of South Africa.

3. This competition is only open to South African residents who are over the age of 6 (six) and under the age of 18 (eighteen).
4. PLEASE READ THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS WITH YOUR PARENT OR LEGAL GUARDIAN AND MAKE SURE THAT YOU UNDERSTAND THEM. YOU MUST HAVE PERMISSION FROM YOUR PARENT OR LEGAL GUARDIAN BEFORE ENTERING THIS COMPETITION. BY READING FURTHER AND/OR BY ENTERING THIS COMPETITION, YOU PROMISE AND AGREE THAT YOU HAVE YOUR PARENT'S OR LEGAL GUARDIAN'S PERMISSION TO DO SO.
5. We recommend that parents and legal guardians who allow their children to use Facebook and/or Instagram and to enter this competition first discuss online safety with their children and continue to monitor all use of social media.
6. You acknowledge that you use Facebook and/or Instagram at your own risk.
7. The immediate family members of our directors, members, employees, consultants and agents, as well as our advertising agencies, partners, affiliates or any other person who directly or indirectly controls or is controlled by us and any suppliers of goods or services in connection with this competition - cannot enter or win this competition.
8. You agree that you will not provide us with any false personal information or enter this competition for anyone other than yourself.
9. To enter this competition, you must:
9.1. Complete the form;
9.2. Take a picture of the completed form;
9.3. Upload the picture of the form on your Facebook or Instagram page; and
9.4. Tag our official
10. Entries are limited to one entry per person. All additional entries will be invalid.
11. You may not inaccurately tag content, and such inaccurate tagging shall result in disqualification.
12. We accept no responsibility for any entries that are incomplete, illegible, corrupted or fail to reach us by the relevant closing date for any reason.
13. We will not be responsible or liable to any third party for the content, truthfulness or accuracy of the form or for any loss, injury, expense or damage of any nature at all, whether arising from gross negligence or any other cause, and which is or may be suffered by you or any third party as a result of your content.
14. You do not have to purchase anything or make any payment to enter this competition as entry is free of charge.
15. This competition will commence on 10 July 2023 at 8pm.
16. The closing date for this competition will be 25 August 2023 at 4pm and no further entries will be accepted thereafter.
17. We will review all eligible entries and select 5 (five) finalists based on creativity, originality, and suitability of the proposed name for our mascot.
18. The final winner will be determined through a public voting process using a Facebook Poll.
19. We will create a Facebook Poll featuring the 5 (five) finalists and share it on our official 'Treeline Stationery' Facebook page.
20. The public will be invited to vote for their favourite name for the mascot by selecting the corresponding option in the Facebook Poll, from 26 August 2023 until 31 August 2023.
21. The entry that receives the highest number of votes in the Facebook Poll will be declared the winner.
22. The winner will be announced on our official 'Treeline Stationery' Facebook and Instagram pages on 1 September 2023.
23. Our decision as to who wins this competition will be our final and binding decision and will not be subject to debate.
24. If the winner does not claim the prize within 48 hours, we reserve the right to award the prize to the person who received the second-highest number of votes in the Facebook Poll. In the event that the replacement winner does not respond as required, then the provisions of this clause shall apply to the next winner in the same way as if he/she were the original winner.
25. The winner of this competition will receive one year's worth of stationery, which will consist of:

and will be delivered by way of courier to the winner.
26. Prizes may not be transferred to any other person and cannot be exchanged for cash or anything else.
27. The prize is awarded voetstoots [as it stands] to the winner. We will not be held liable for any defective or damaged products which form part of the prize, harm or consequential loss as a result of receipt and/or use of the prize or any part thereof, howsoever arising. We will not be held liable to replace or repair defective or damaged products which form part of the prize.
28. If you win this competition, you must present a valid South African form of identity in order to receive your prize. The winner and his/her parent/s or legal guardian/s will also be required to sign acceptance of the prize. When delivery is agreed, it is the responsibility of the winner and his/her parent or legal guardian to be available to sign for the prize.
29. By entering this competition, you acknowledge that this competition will be managed in accordance with the provisions of the Consumer Protection Act No. 68 of 2008 ("The Act"). You undertake to expeditiously do all things necessary to enable us to comply with our obligations under the Act including, but not limited to providing such personal information as may be required in order to facilitate handing over the prize to the winner, (including providing proof of address and identity number) and signing receipt of the prize upon its delivery. Should you refuse or be unable to comply with this requirement, you shall be deemed to have forfeited the prize.
30. If we fail to enforce or apply any of these terms and conditions, we will not lose our right to do so at any other time.
31. You agree that we may use your name and picture for reasonable publicity purposes and that we may keep your information on our database. Please note that you have the right to refuse this condition by sending us an email to graphics@treeline.co.za.
32. Neither we nor our directors, members, employees, affiliates, Facebook or Instagram will be responsible or liable for any loss, injury, expense or damage (whether direct, indirect, incidental [minor or secondary], punitive [as a punishment] or consequential [damages which follow as a result of]) of any nature, whether arising from gross negligence or any other cause, which is or may be suffered by your participation in
this competition or acceptance and/or use by you and/or any other person, of any part of the prize or by any action taken by us or our directors, members, employees or affiliates in accordance with these terms and conditions.
33. Your participation in this competition will be proof that you have read, understood and agreed to these terms and conditions and any written amendments or additions thereto, which may be made by us from time to time.
